On Stunning Lakelse Lake

Waterlily Bay Resort is nestled on the shores of stunning Lakelse Lake, located just off Highway 37, just a 15 minute drive from downtown Terrace, British Columbia.  With picturesque vistas surrounding the property, you’ll find it easy to sit back and relax in this family-oriented resort.

Accommodations for Every Taste

Our six cozy, modern cottages and six lakefront campsites (with power and water) are located along the lakeshore and have breathtaking panoramic views of the lakes and mountains.  Our 22 forestry campsites are surrounded by lush forests and large cedar trees, with quick and easy access to the beach. All of our cottages and campsites have fire pits, and firewood is available for purchase. A sani-dump and shower house for all campground visitors are planned for 2021. Each self-contained cottage features large glass-window fronts, running water, electric power and heat, a natural gas fireplace, full kitchenette, full bathroom, and two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds).  Sip coffee on your wide-covered private patio at sunrise while you marvel at the stunning view, or roast marshmallows and enjoy cold beverages by your lakefront firepit while you watch a beautiful sunset at the end of the day.

Activities for every season

Staying at Waterlily Bay is your chance to get away from it all. Our resort has been enjoyed by many generations of families. Our guests have enjoyed making many memories here including swimming in the lake, summer barbecues on the beach, fishing, and quiet moments on the patio taking in the views.

No matter what your interests are, we’re sure you’ll find some great ways to experience this incredible area. Waterlily Bay is truly a four-season resort, so check out the activities you can do here no matter what type of weather greets you during your stay.  In the summer, bring your boat as we have a boat launch and dock on site. Try your hand at fishing on the tributaries of the Lakelse Watershed.  Enjoy our safe, sandy beach and shallow swimming area. Watch for the many bird species that frequent the lake.  We are conveniently located close to several hiking trails, as well as the Williams Creek Viewing Platform, a prime salmon spawning viewing area. In the fall, view the magnificent fall colours from your patio or wander our forest trails. You’ll find some of the best winter activities here. Ice skate on the frozen lake in front of your cottage, snowshoe our forest trails, or visit nearby Onion Lake Ski Trails for some spectacular cross-country skiing.  If you are up for a bigger adventure, take a 55 minute drive to Shames Mountain, a true hidden gem, which can only be described as one of the best family-oriented powder mountains in British Columbia. After a day of winter activities, enjoy the cozy fireplace back at your cottage.
